Rehearsal Dinner Dress (Maybe, please)

Two posts in one day! It's like Christmas!

I wanted to share one of my favorite, favorite, favorite Etsy stores, TimelessVixenVintage

They sell AMAZING vintage designer dresses (mostly from the 50s and 60s) and I'm determined to wear one for the rehearsal dinner (and every day thereafter if need be). I say "determined" because not only are they not cheap, they are teeny tiny - well at least compared to the worn out yoga pants I usually sport.

So which once should I get? (I'm just going to pretend that some of my favorites aren't on reserve or haven't been sold)

(all photos taken by the owners of TimelessVixenVintage)

This red one is definitely my favorite

Just look at the bow on back!

It's sold though :(

I will wear one of these. I will. :)

  1. Thanks for sharing this shop with all the ah-maiy-zing!!! dresses. Looking at the prices though, I'm glad you didn't post this until just three weeks before my wedding or I would be a lot poorer right now.

Personally, I love the sea foam green one and the top yellow one (which is a little -teeny- bit like my own wedding dress), but if you are dazzled by red, I'd say go for the second spotty red one.

Be a little engine and think you can!

  2. I just stumbled upon your blog yesterday (I'm just beginning the process of planning an August wedding) and love it! Thanks for sharing your experiences and craftiness as I am a tinkerer in my own right and I am loving all of fun projects this wedding is allowing me to drool over - can't wait to get our my scissors and glue stick ;P ANYhow, all that being said I would pretty much kill for the third dress down (and to get rid of the 20lbs it would take me to fit into it!)
But, follow your heart and get the one that makes your heart go all-a-flutter!

I haven't started my wedding jibber jabber yet (though it's bound to start soon) but if you are bored one of these days (though you don't sound like you are!) you can check out some of my crafty daliances at http://mommyinthemaking.tumblr.com
